Our Story
Fast Track Communications was founded in 2002 and was established by Gavin Maher, Mark Forland and Geoff Bednal. The original partners have been joined by Brad Nicholas and Paul Tinta and together this team have built Fast Track into one of the fastest growing resellers in Australia.
Fast Tracks success has been largely due to the outstanding commitment to service with excellence in matching technology to clients needs with a service ethic and a great awareness of integrity in business practices.

We have completed works at over 100 locations across NSW and support Transport NSW’s LifeSize network at all locations.

Executive Team and Board Members
Mark Forland
Mark is one of the founding partners and board members of Fast Track Communications. As part of the executive team, Mark has extensive experience in both Electrical and Communications. He is the Sales Director and leads the business development team within Fast Track. Over the past 30 years he has designed and managed the implementation of large infrastructure cabling projects for Corporate Businesses and Government agencies.
Gavin Maher
Gavin is one of the founding partners and a board member of Fast Track Communications. His background is in data centre, electrical and communication infrastructure installations. He has moved from the client-facing side to running the business. He is responsible for all aspects of the internal systems, finance and administration.
Brad Nicholas
As a board member and part of the executive team Brad is one of the Business Partners and has over 30 years’ experience in Communications and Telephony. Brad is the operations director within Fast Track Communications and works closely with the Management team and clients to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Paul Tinta
Paul has been involved in the Communications and Facilities industries throughout his entire career and is one of the directors at Fast Track Communications. With substantial experience in managing numerous and varied communications and facilities projects, he is now strategically developing and managing the key systems in the business.
Management Team
Ashlee Ball
Ashlee has 30 years of experience in the IT industry starting in 1992. She joined Fast Track in 2009 to provide sales expertise to the Fast Track Communications board of directors to help build the Unified Communications and the AV/VC technology practice. Ashlee has presided over hundreds of technology projects in her 15 years in this role. The AV/VC team has become an integral part of the broader Fast Track skillset available to our Government, Corporate and Commercial clients.
Matt Arkle
As part of the Management team Matt has extensive experience in both Electrical and Communications. Having worked for Fast Track Communications for 10+ years Matt has worked in multiple positions and currently is the Senior Estimator within the business. Over the past 15+ years, he has designed and managed the implementation of many medium to large infrastructure cabling projects locally and nationally.
Renee Self
Renée is the Administrative Coordinator for Fast Track and oversees the day-to-day runnings of our office in St Leonards. Originally joining the Fast Track Communications team 4 years ago as a receptionist, she now manages the accounts, office and administrative duties as well as provides general support to the company and its employees.
Adam Burkett
Adam has over 20 years of industry experience working on large scale electrical and communication projects. Having started with Fast Track Communications as a field technician over 10 years ago, he has quickly risen through the ranks to become a valued member of the Project team. During this time Adam has overseen the successful implementation of multiple critical infrastructure projects for a wide variety of clients.
Project Team
Alex Moffitt
As a part of the Project team and with Fast Track Communications for the past 7 years, Alex has over 15 years of experience in the communications and AV industry managing projects of various sizes and complexity for small, medium and large corporations and governments agencies.
Gary Cross
Gary brings over 30 years of experience in the communications industry, transitioning from a technician to a supervisory role. With Fast Track Communication for two decades, he started as a field technician and, thanks to his extensive knowledge and strong rapport with clients and colleagues, advanced to Project Manager. His expertise is further backed by a diploma in Project Management, making him a highly respected and integral part of the management team.
Rickielea Tucker
Rickielea joined the team working in administration and through her eagerness to grow has taken all opportunities presented over the past ten years to become an integral part of the project management team. Rickielea prides herself on her attention to detail and client communication. Rickielea has maintained and managed some of our largest clients and specialises in managing multi-site projects.
